Consumer Intentions to Buy or Renovate a Home - Major Market Highlights

Abstract

This publication assembles statistical highlights and analyses from CMHC's Consumer Intentions to Buy or Renovate a Home surveys, conducted in major Canadian centres. Besides their intentions to buy or renovate, survey respondents are also asked about the type and price range of homes, planned expenditures, demographics, current home tenure, and financing plans. Analyses of important trends allow comparisons between trends in each of the major centres and the overall survey population, all illustrated with numerous charts.
