Defence Research and Development Canada - Centre for Security Science (DRDC CSS) is a joint endeavour between the Department of National Defence (DND) and Public Safety Canada. Public security S&T activities are undertaken in four theme areas: Defeat the Chemical, Biological, Radiological-Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Threat; Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and e-Security; Surveillance, Intelligence, and Interdiction (SII); and Emergency Management Systems and Interoperability (EMSI) The Public Security S&T Summer Symposium Proceedings include abstracts which describe the progress, from the first eight rounds of funding, of the projects in the domains of CBRNE, CIP, e-Security, SSI, and EMSI.
