This guideline is designed to assist in the preparation of labelling material that complies with Canadian regulatory requirements for cosmetics. The guideline contains a description of the Acts and Regulations from which the labelling requirements for cosmetics are derived, definitions of terms, current interpretations of labelling requirements by officers of the Cosmetics Program, based on legal precedents and advisory opinions established over a number of years, and sources of further information.
