"Planning for life after military service can prevent a lot of problems down the road, so our team of researchers from Veterans Affairs Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and the Department of National Defence has created a short self-assessment tool called the Road to Civilian Life (R2CL) Transition Checklist. We designed it to help releasing and released CAF members think through whether they and their families are completely ready for civilian life. This report explains how we developed and tested the checklist with serving members and Veterans in both official languages. The report explains how you can use it to prepare for life after the CAF"--Executive summary, p. 4.
