This report summarizes the findings of the 2001 Participation and Activity Limitation Survey (PALS), which was sponsored by the Government of Canada and gathered information on children and adults with a disability related to a physical or mental condition or a health problem. Information from PALS is used to examine some of the issues affecting Canadians with disabilities throughout their lives. The report is divided into six sections based on age. Appendices provide information on PALS and statistical tables.
