The manual sets out procedures which have evolved and were developed to be the current operational standards for the DFO Pacific Region. A further purpose is to provide information to other agencies and individuals wishing to employ established scale ageing methods for age determination of Chinook. A series of photos depicting examples of scale growth patterns and their age are included from representative stocks in various regions of B.C. |
