The present project was aimed towards the development of an all solid electrochromic system which can be used in the design of smart windows for efficient management of energy in commercial buildings. Electrochromic systems are those in which a reversible optical change can be brought about in the system by the application of a small electric field. For smart window application, this optical change is situated in the solar and visible spectral regions.--Introduction
