This report presents data on tuberculosis drug resistance patterns in Canada. Of the 1,308 isolates in 2005 included for analysis, 163 were resistant to one or more first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs. This and previously collected data indicate that the prevalence of TB drug resistance in Canada is similar to that worldwide.
