A biological risk management framework for enhancing salmon in the Pacific Region / Salmonid Enhancement Program. : Fs144-38/2013E-PDF

"This document describes a framework for the assessment and management of biological risks to wild Pacific salmon populations from production originating from Salmonid Enhancement Program (SEP) hatcheries. Its purpose in part is to respond to the need identified in Canada’s Wild Salmon Policy (DFO, 2005a) for “a biological risk assessment framework to assess the risk of hatchery production to wild salmon”. It is also intended to clarify the nature and application of risk in the SEP operating environment."--Introd., p. 3.
