"The Federal/Provincial/Territorial (F/P/T) Group Purchasing Program for Drugs and Vaccines (the Program) is part of the Commercial Acquisitions and Supply Management Sector, Acquisitions Branch in Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). It includes the Influenza Vaccine Project and the Drugs, Vaccines and Biologics Division. The Program’s mandate is to carry out the purchase of drugs and vaccines as an ongoing, voluntary arrangement on behalf of F/P/T governments, utilizing the procurement services of PWGSC. The Program works with provincial and territorial governments, as well as the Correctional Service of Canada, the Department of National Defence and Health Canada to acquire a safe supply of medications for Canadians in emergencies"--Main Points, p. i.
