"Bill C-238, An Act respecting the development of a national strategy for the safe disposal of lamps containing mercury (short title: National Strategy for Safe Disposal of Lamps Containing Mercury Act) was introduced in the House of Commons on 25 February 2016 by Member of Parliament Darren Fisher. The bill would require the Minister of the Environment, in cooperation with other parties, to develop and implement a national strategy for the safe disposal of lamps containing mercury (i.e., compact and tube fluorescent light bulbs)"--Background, p. 1.
