"The statistics of school attendance as presented in this Bulletin are based on information collected by the enumerators in the Fifth Census relative topersons attending a school or other place of learning during the calendar year 1910 ... The total number of persons between the ages of 6 and 20 at the date of the Census was 2,141,909 of which 1,801,779 or 84.12 per cent were Canadian born, 6.65 per cent British-born" and 9.23 per cent Foreign-born. Of this number 52.51 per cent attended school for any length of time during the year, but of these only 44.82 per cent' were at school or other, place of learning for more than 6 months in the calendar year 1910."--p.
