520 |aThe object of this study was to ascertain whether there may be a correlation among concentration of ownership, newspaper closings, and labor-management relations in the Canadian daily newspaper industry. Although papers have been shut down despite apparently good employer-employee relations, the closing of a number of major dailies after intense labor conflicts suggests such a link.
