"This report is part of a series of reports on the 1945 Census of Newfoundland, and gives the final figures for fisheries by census district. Data by settlement will be published in a complete report on the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries for Newfoundland to be released at a later date. ... The reports in this series represent final tabulated results from the Census of Population, Agriculture and Fisheries, taken by the Newfoundland Government in 1945. These tabulations have been carried out in the Dominion Bureau of Statistics at the request of Newfoundland"--Pref.
