Geological Survey of Canada database of photo and video surveys of the seabed off Nova Scotia / S.T. Rumbolt, V.E. Kostylev.: M183-2/4939E-PDF

"This report provides the descriptions of benthic habitats and fauna observed at different stations on the Scotian Shelf and in the Bay of Fundy. The photographs and video records from 1969 till 2003 available in Geological Survey of Canada (Atlantic) archives were analyzed as a part of the work carried within Geoscience for Ocean Management project X32 "Geoscience for Eastern Scotian Shelf Integrated Management" and other projects on benthic habitat mapping carried by Natural Resources Canada since 1998. The information in this report is presented in the form of data sheets. One sheet per sampling event is provided, with a description of sampling location, date and time, cruise number, sampling tool, water depth, type of the camera and number of photos taken. Each data sheet also shows a location map, detailed bathymetry map, and a representative photograph of the seabed. Habitat descriptions are supplied along with a general notes on the observed fauna"--p. 1.
