"This report presents the findings, conclusions and recommendations stemming from the evaluation of Library and Archives Canada (LAC)’s Access to Documentary Heritage Program. The evaluation was conducted by the Program Evaluation Division of the Corporate Planning and Accountability Directorate in accordance with the directives of the federal government’s Policy on Evaluation. Its main objective was to examine the program’s relevance and performance. The evaluation covered a five-year period, from 2011–12 to 2015–16. The purpose of the Access to Documentary Heritage Program is to promote awareness of Canadian documentary resources and to make them readily available to Canadians and to anyone with an interest in Canada, its society or its history”--Summary, p. 5.
