Illness frequency by class of illness, age and sex (national estimates) / prepared jointly by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics and the Department of National Health and Welfare.: CS82-511/1957E-PDF
“This is the eleventh bulletin in the series of preliminary publications of the Canadian Sickness Survey. The first four reports dealt with family expenditures for health services, the next three with various aspects of the volume of sickness and the two after that with the volume of health care. The previous bulletin (No. 10) was concerned with illness frequency for various classes of illness broken down by diagnostic groups and sex. The present bulletin also deals with illness frequency for classes of illness, but they have been broken down by age and sex instead of diagnostic group and sex. Disabling illness has not been shown separately in the present bulletin, but it might be possible to do so in future compilations"--Scope, p. [5].
