"This bulletin replaces the wholesale section of the annual report on Prices and Price Indexes for 1941 and 1942. It provides an historical record of the more widely used wholesale price indexes on a monthly basis from 1913 to 1942 inclusive and also includes specially prepared index number series for comparison of wholesale price movements during the war of 1914-1918 and the present war. A separate section is devoted to farm product wholesale prices, and a calculation of the wholesale farm product price index, exclusive of wheat, is shown for the period August, 1939 to December, 1942"--Introduction.
