"Aminoethoxyvinylglycine hydrochloride (also referred as aviglycine hydrochloride) is a plant growth regulator for use in apples. It is used as a harvest management tool to control fruit drop and delay maturity which allows growers to better schedule harvesting and avoid losses from dropped apples. This document presents the final regulatory decision for the re-evaluation of aminoethoxyvinylglycine hydrochloride including the required updated risk mitigation measures to protect the environment. All pest control products containing aminoethoxyvinylglycine hydrochloride that are registered in Canada are subject to this re-evaluation decision"--Re-evaluation decision, p. 1.
