520 |a"This report describes the simulation of the Texas Instrument SBP 9989 microprocessor using the computer aided engineering design and development tool N.mPc, developed by Case Western University. The simulation was developed and run on the VAX 11/780 System of the Analysis and Simulation Laboratory, Communications Research Centre. The simulation includes a hardware description, a command file for the programmable assembler and a command file for the programmable linking/loader. A test program is also included. Taken together, these components constitute a software implementation of the SBP 9989 as well as a complete software development system for the SBP 9989 on the VAX 11/780. The architecture of SBP 9989 is discussed, its implementation in N.mPc and a test simulation are described. Comments based on the experience gained during the hardware and software simulation of the SBP 9989 processor are provided"--Summary.
