"This paper is a summary of a detailed report on an assessment of the field performance of PEST, a profiler for estuarine sediment transport and was prepared for the Canadian Hydrological Society's symposium on fluvial sediments in Burlington, October 30th to November 1st, 1990. Previous attempts at measurement of suspended sediment flux have not been well resolved in time or very accurate as sediment and currents have been observed on different time scales and different water parcels. This instrument is the first to combine various estuarine parameters into one device … "--Management perspective.
