Pickering area, Recording Rain Gauge Network / by D.A. Carr.: En57-23/4-74E-PDF

"Early in 1973 a number of environmental studies were undertaken in the Pickering area of Ontario in support of a plan to develop the new Toronto International Airport and the proposed city of Cedarwood, Ontario. Initially a network of stations was established to collect meteorological data. This report lists daily and monthly rainfall observations collected during 1973 and includes analyses of some of the storms which produced significant rainfalls in the Pickering area. An inter-comparison of monthly rainfall totals in 1973 indicates that there were some deviations from normal, however, the total annual rainfall was normal"--Abstract.
