"In October 1976, the Environmental Protection Service initiated a program to assess the environmental impact of pulp and paper mills in British Columbia. With the co-operation of various other government agencies and the industry, EPS compiled relevant resource data and receiving environment monitoring information. After reviewing and evaluating the existing information, the environmental quality of each area was assessed and the need for additional monitoring studies determined. This report represents the environmental impact assessment for the British Columbia Forest Products pulp mill at Crofton, British Columbia"--Abstract.
