We distribute publications to more than 800 Depository Libraries in Canada and abroad. These libraries provide public access to published Government of Canada information collected at their institutions. You can find Depository Libraries by selecting links from the "Depository Library listings" provided on this Web page.
Full Depository Libraries receive all Government of Canada publications distributed via the Weekly Checklist. These libraries commit to preserving and maintaining a permanent collection of Government of Canada publications, and to providing inter-library loan service for some material no longer available from other sources.
Selective Depository Libraries choose publications from the Weekly Checklist and commit to preserving and maintaining them for at least 5 years.
Map Depository Libraries receive topographic and geological printed maps and other cartographic products distributed by the Earth Sciences Sector of Natural Resources Canada. These libraries have qualified map librarians on staff and the equipment and facilities for storing and consulting printed maps. Contact us to find the Map Depository Library nearest you.
