Guide for radon measurements in public buildings (workplaces, schools, day cares, hospitals, care facilities, correctional centres) . : H128-1/08-544-1E-PDF

"This document is intended for persons and organizations carrying out radon measurements in buildings that have a high occupancy rate and/or residency period for members of the public and are, therefore, considered “dwellings” for the purposes of radon testing (Government of Canada Radon Guideline, 2007). The types of buildings include, but are not limited to workplaces, schools, day cares, hospitals, care facilities and correctional centres. The purpose of the testing is to evaluate radon levels in order to determine the need for remedial action to protect the occupants. The scope of this document is limited to guidance regarding types of measurement devices, device placement, measurement duration, and the interpretation of measurements"--Introd., p. 3.
