"This report, which is the first of a series of health manpower occasional publications, outlines health manpower in hospitals, (excluding mental and tuberculosis institutions) for the years 1961-68 inclusive. As well as looking at the break-down of employment into full and part-time categories for operating general and allied special hospitals (public, private and federal), relationships, such as hospital personnel, as a percentage of the civilian labour force, employment in hospitals compared with employment in other selected industries and salaries and wages of the hospital industry compared with those of other selected industries are examined."--Introduction.
