520 | 0 |a"The realization of the presence of reactive and titratable organic anions in the strongly colored waters of Nova Scotia has called for reexamination of some of the analytical methods applied to such waters. This report discusses the effects of organic anions on the established Gran alkalinity titration procedures. The author concludes that the organic anion interference is in most cases minimal, and recommends that the alkalinity procedures be continued, that sulfate continue to be analyzed by both ion chromatographic and colorimetric methods, and that some direct measurements of dissolved carbon dioxide be made"--Exec. summary. |
