The input-output structure of the Canadian economy

Abstract

In this publication we publish the final tables of 1997 and 1998 and we keep the detailed classifications of 1997. The classifications having changed in 1998, the new classifications of 1998 final and 1999 preliminary will be published in the next issue of this publication. These new classifications are available on demand. With this publication, Statistics Canada is providing input-output (IO) accounts for all provinces and territories of Canada on an annual basis.The data is presented at the "S" level of aggregation. This publication contains the concordances at different levels of aggregation of the industries, the commodities and the categories of final demand frequently used in the accounts. This publication contains moreover annual data on gross domestic product at basic price as well as the quality assurance ratings of the data.
