Farm cash receipts
Abstract
This publication contains farm cash receipt estimates for individual crop and livestock receipts
and direct program payments. Cumulative quarterly data and percent change for the current and
previous year are published by province and at the national level. The crops and livestock
sub-indexes are also available in the same format. In addition, quarterly data are available for the
last two years. The publication also includes some analysis and explanatory notes on concepts
and methods.
The estimates appear in quarterly, cumulative quarterly, monthly and annual format. Because the
estimates are continually being revised, it is not possible to subtract previous totals from the most
recent total in order to obtain correct value of receipts for a single month.
This publication absorbed catalogue no. 62-003-XPB Farm product price index
from vol. 56 no. 1 until vol. 57 no. 1 inclusively. With vol. 57 no. 2 it dropped
Farm product price index and reverted to its original title.
