Monthly Survey of Manufacturing: use of administrative data
Abstract
Starting with the August 2004 reference month, the Monthly Survey of Manufacturing (MSM) is using administrative data (Goods and Services Tax files) to derive shipments for a portion of the small establishments in the sample.
