Crime and justice research paper seriesAbstractThe Crime and justice research paper series was initiated to explore a wide range of topics covering criminal victimization, youth and adult offending, the administration of justice, and the perception of the justice system and crime in Canadian communities. Staff at the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics, visiting fellows and academic associates provide the analyses. The research papers are intended to stimulate discussion. Readers are encouraged to contact the authors with comments, criticisms and suggestions.
