Health human resources in Canada's healthcare system .CP32-78/3-2002E-PDF

One of nine issue/survey papers designed to inform Canadians and give them a chance to express their views on a healthcare issue, this paper discusses the staffing of Canada’s healthcare system. Alternatives considered in this paper are: creating greater numbers of doctors and nurses; changing agreements to match healthcare workers’ jobs more closely to their training; and ensuring a more appropriate geographic distribution of healthcare workers between and within provinces. Each paper includes a survey soliciting readers’ views.
