Design and construction of the Northern Sustainable House E/9 Project - Dawson City, Yukon : NH18-22/112-102E-PDF
This project produced a research report on the design and construction of highly energy-efficient houses in the North. Near net zero technology was used in a semi-detached house in the Yukon with the objective of having the house consume 90% less energy than what would be used were the house to be built according to the Model National Energy Code for Houses. CMHC provided technical information and support for designs and drawings prepared by a First Nation Band for a family of two adults and two children. The energy consumption of the dwelling will be monitored for one year following occupancy.
