Report on the public health effects of the ease of access and viewing of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material on children, women and men / Bill Casey, chair.: XC62-1/1-421-11E-PDF
"On 8 December 2016, the House of Commons passed Private Members’ Business M-47 stating: That the Standing Committee on Health be instructed to examine the public health effects of the ease of access and viewing of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material on children, women and men, recognizing and respecting the provincial and territorial jurisdictions in this regard, and that the said Committee report its findings to the House no later than July 2017. This report summarizes testimony and written evidence received by the Committee on the public health effects of the ease of access and viewing of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material on children, women and men, focusing in particular on the peer-reviewed scientific research presented by witnesses. Drawing on the evidence and recommendations received from witnesses and through written submissions, this report also outlines possible areas where the federal government could take action in collaboration with provinces and territories and other stakeholders to address the ease of access to online violent and degrading sexually explicit material"--Introd., p. 1.
