Exploring gaps in prescription drug insurance coverage among men and women in Canada using an intersectional lens / by Fei-Ju Yang and Shikha Gupta.CS75-006/2024-1E-PDF

"Using an intersectional lens, this study examines men’s and women’s coverage for four types of drug insurance plans, based on data from the 2015, 2016 and 2019 Canadian Community Health Survey. This analysis indicates that unequal prescription drug insurance coverage exists among subgroups of men and women. Some of the important determinants of drug insurance coverage include marital status, immigrant status, racialized group, sexual orientation, household income, number of chronic conditions and employment-related factors"--Overview of the study, page 1.
