A framework for environmental learning and sustainability in Canada : En40-664/2002
Based on consultations with 5,500 Canadians, this framework was one of Canada's contributions to the World Summit on Sustainable Development. Evidently Canadians cherish their natural environment and the traditional knowledge and wisdom of settlers and native peoples. The environment has been a concern of dedicated individuals, businesses and government since the 1960s. Their efforts are continuing, with integration of environmental learning into university pedagogy, scholarly publications, international forums and this framework, stressing the need for everyone to get involved in a culture of lifelong environmental learning
