2002 Annual report to Parliament on immigration: Ci1-2002

This annual report describes provisions of the new "Immigration and Refugee Protection Act", including new security measures and tools to make it simpler for admissible persons to enter Canada. The report includes numbers of foreign nationals who became permanent residents during the past year for Canada and Quebec, projections for the following year, the number of temporary resident permits issued, and the number of foreign nationals who became permanent residents on humanitarian grounds
