Cover image

This report contains a brief summary of the history of the Moosomin First Nation 1909 Reserve land surrender claim and a review of the negotiations that led to a final agreement in September 2003. The claim, which was formally submitted in July 1986, asserted that the 1909 surrender of reserve land was invalid on the basis that the Moosomin First Nation did not agree to the surrender and that the sale of the lands was never in its best interest.
