This book enhances understanding of the Yellowknife shear-zone-hosted gold deposits. The book provides articles on: historical background on gold exploration in the area; regional geology; mineral deposits and regional metallogenic studies; exploration technology; and data integration. The accompanying DVD contains databases, map sheets, and data tables. The volume presents the results of the Extech III multidisciplinary research project, which aimed to document the geological characteristics of the Yellowknife greenstone belt and to carry out research to enhance gold exploration.
