The Government of Canada spends some $5 billion on federally-performed S&T activities each year with the objective of maximizing benefits to Canadians. This report identifies and assesses potential actions to improve the measurement, reporting and assessment of these activities. A key observation of the report is that federal planning, performance reporting, and assessment processes could be better aligned to realize and demonstrate results for Canadians.
