Commemoration in the 21st century / Greg Kerr, Chair. : XC78-1/411-01E-PDF
The members of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs (hereinafter “the Committee”) view their duty to honour those who gave or risked their lives to defend freedom in Canada’s name as a daily commitment. During the meeting on September 29, 2011, it was agreed “[t]hat the Committee do study the Commemorative Celebrations in the twenty-first century.” In October and November, the Committee met six times to consider the matter. This report is a summary of the Committee’s main conclusions.
