Report of the eminent panel on seal management : Fs23-405/2001E-PDF
This is the final report of an evaluation of scientific knowledge of, and strategies for, Atlantic seal population management. Many scientists and stakeholders were consulted. In addition to scientific literature, it reflects submissions from interested parties. The evaluation studied knowledge of seal diets, methods for estimating populations and mortality, the ecological effects of seal populations under various management options, and the economics of seal hunting.
