Globalization and Canada's healthcare system .: CP32-78/2-2002E-PDF
One of nine issue/survey papers designed to inform Canadians and give them a chance to express their views on a healthcare issue, this paper discusses eventual impacts of free trade. Alternatives considered include: the federal government continuing to protect public healthcare in future trade agreements; provincial governments agreeing to pay for services chosen abroad; and the federal government allowing more access for healthcare professionals entering the country. Each paper includes a survey soliciting readers’ views.
