DFAIT values and ethics code : FR5-67/2012
The objectives of the DFAIT Values and Ethics Code are as follows: to outline the values and expected behaviours of public servants working for the department in all activities related to their professional duties; to set rules of conduct related to conflicts of interest and post-employment in order to help minimize the possibility of conflicts arising between the private interests and public-service duties of public servants; and to suggest avenues of resolution in case of an ethical dilemma or a conflict of interest and to provide information on how to disclose a wrongdoing.
