Transportation in Canada ... - an overview. AddendumT1-21AE-PDF

The Minister of Transport is required by Section 52 of the Canada Transportation Act, to table in Parliament before the end of May 20010, a report on the state of transportation in Canada for the year 2009. The report will provide a brief overview of transportation through a fairly limited series of highlights pertaining to the role transportation plays in the economy, government spending in transportation, infrastructure and services, safety and security, the environment, as well as developments of significance in the main four modes of transportation (rail, road, air and, marine). The Overview Report of Transportation in Canada for 2009 will carry approximately twelve to twenty pages in length and will be supplemented with a statistical addendum consisting of anywhere from one hundred and seventy (170) to two hundred and fifty (250) tables, charts, illustrations or figures.
