Federal, provincial and territorial governments in Canada are working with experts and interested parties to build a pragmatic national strategy for achieving greenhouse gas emissions reductions... some 450 experts from across the country... have participated in 16 Issue Tables/Groups that are examining and analyzing the impacts, costs and benefits of addressing climate change... After completing their foundation work, members of the Issue Tables/Groups began sector-specific and cross-cutting analysis of emissions reduction opportunities and barriers, and identifying reduction and adaptation options for consideration in the development of Canada's national strategy to meet the climate change challenge.
