This statistical report summarizes air pollution measurements from air monitoring stations across Canada. Monitored pollutants include sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone, as well as particulate lead and sulphate matter. Toxic organic compounds such as benzene, toluene, and tetrachloroethylene are also reported. The report compares the data with national air quality objectives, and includes Canada-wide standards for particulate matter and ozone. Includes maps showing monitoring stations.
