Reclaiming citizenship for Canadians : a report on the loss of Canadian citizenship / Chair: Norman Doyle.: XC64-392/1-1-03

This Standing Committee report is a study of “lost” Canadians—people who lost their Canadian citizenship, or thought they were citizens and were not. They include war brides, people born abroad, and those who lost citizenship when they or their parent became citizens of another country. It presents personal stories of lost Canadians, and examines systemic issues, citizenship and criminality, and the government’s view. Recommendations relate to amending the Citizenship Act and rectifying injustices in the meantime.
