The migration of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) smolts from the Margaree River, Nova Scotia, 2004 to 2009 / by C. Breau, G. Chaput, and P. LeBlanc.Fs97-6/2899E-PDF

The main objective of the program was to estimate the freshwater smolt production from the river and to determine if the abundance of adult Atlantic salmon was being constrained by freshwater production. The report presents information on the timing of migration, the estimated population size, and the biological characteristics of the smolts.
