Strengthening parliamentary scrutiny of estimates and supply / Pat Martin, Chair. : XC70-1/411-02E-PDF
The Committee hopes to build on the work done by previous committees and on experts’ knowledge to formulate recommendations that would improve Parliament’s, and particularly standing committees’, scrutiny and review of the government’s spending plans. Improvements to the process would consequently enhance transparency and accountability, which are key elements of good governance.
